Tanzania has more 120 tribes each tribe has their own traditional and customs. We will describe few of them.
Sukuma is large tribe in Tanzania with an estimation of 10 million members or 16 percent of the country total population. The Sukuma lives in north-western Tanzania.
The region can be found called Mwanza where you can find the Lake Victoria the largest freshwater lake in Africa and bordered by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Sukuma can also be found south-western tip of Mara Region, Simiyu Region and Shinyanga Region.
Maasai are a Nilotic ethnic group leaving in northern of Tanzania, but you can also find them in the northern, central and southern Kenya.
It is a tribe that best known international due to their residence near the many game parks and their distinctive customs and dress.
Hadzabe Tribe are indigenous ethnic group in north-central Tanzania, they can be found around Lake Eyasi in the central Rift Valley and in the neighbouring Serengeti Plateau. The tribe is one of the last tribes that remained true to their natural.
It is a hunter’s tribe, feeding themselves with fruits, berries, roots, and men are the main hunters. The Hadzabe live in caves and they stay away from other people. It seems Hazabe have kind of relation with Bushmen of Kalahari Desert, because of the distinctive click, but DNA analysis shows no common traits of those two tribes.
