Day Trip to Mbudya is a beautiful island on the Indian Ocean (Dar es Salaam), it is Marine Reserve. If you want to be away for all hustle and bustle of downtown Dar es Salaam. Mbudya is the right place.

It is a painting style that was drawn / created in 20th century in the Oyster Bay area in Dar es Salaam by a Tanzanian painter named Edward Said Tingatinga, The Tinga Tinga painting is most widely known worldwide. The painting of Tingatinga is traditionally painting is made on a fabric painting with different colour and different object in paint that make the painting marvellous.

University Of Dar Es Salaam

Mwenge Carvings Market

  • The center where one can find ebony carvings as well as wide range of other Tanzanian carvings.

Tinga Tinga Arts

  • This painting style developed in the second half of the 20thCentury, In the oyster bay area of Dar es salaam, and later spread through East Africa.Tinga Tinga is the most widely spread painting for tourists.
  • These painting are traditionally made on Masonite using several layers of bicycle paint, which enhances the bright colors.
  • Sometimes referred as the crazy art, due to the very bright colors and distorted figures of reality.

National Musseum
